I have won several awards, fellowships, and honors. Below are some notable achievements listed in reverse chronological order.

In May 2024, I was selected to serve in a six-month fellowship program implemented by the Kalam Institute of Health Technology, a Collaborating Centre of Health Innovation of the World Health Organization (WHO). All other fellows come from African counties and several serve in international organizations such as the WHO or UNICEF. Through the fellowship, we are studying the medical product development process and participating in a variety of summits, including the World Health Innovation Forum, the African MedTech Consortium, and the Indian Universal Healthcare Coverage Conference, among others.

In September 2023, I was nomiated to be the first recipient of the Alumni Impact Award by fellow alumni of the University of Washington's graduate program in Technology Innovation. This award is given to outstanding graduates of the program who have used their knowledge in technology innovation to make a positive impact in the world.

In May 2019, I was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship from the Bureau of Educational and Cultralal Affairs of the US Department of State to implement groundwater research in partnership with research faculty in the environmental engineering department at the University of Mauritius in the African island nation of Mauritius.

In April 2018, I won the University of Washington's Maker Summit with two classmates on my design team. We developed a "smart mat" which recognized users' identities by their foot pressure profiles using machine learning. We received cash for winning the grand prize.

In June 2012, I was selected to serve in a one-week intensive training program in technology entrepreneurship for graduate students from the STEM fields. Through the bootcamp, I worked on case analyses, attended lectures and expert panels, and conducted exercises in market assessments with the Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship in the University of Wisconsin's School of Business.

In Oct 2003, I was awarded the highest rank from the Boy Scouts of America, the rank of Eagle Scout. Becoming an Eagle Scout requires fulfilling several key requirements that emphasize leadership, community service, and outdoor skills. In order to receive my Eagle Scout rank I had to plan and lead a service project, serve as Senior Patrol Leader within my troop, and earn dozens of merit badges on topics including first aid, wilderness survival, community civics, and personal fitness, among other responsibilities.
